Wrexham Tennis Centre

Located just off the A483 Wrexham to Chester by-pass and with ample free parking Wrexham Tennis is one of the top indoor and outdoor tennis facilities in Wales.

Anyone can play and there is NO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED! Their coaching at the centre offers term time coaching groups for tots to teens and to all standard of adults from beginners to experts, plus pay-as-you-go social sessions and kids holiday camps.

Erddig – Wrexham

Late 17th century house with 18th century additions. The most evocative ‘Upstairs Downstairs’ house in Britain. A range of outbuildings includes kitchen, laundry, bake house, stables, sawmill, smithy and joiners shop, while state rooms, display most of the original 18th and 19th century furniture and furnishings. A large walled garden restored to its 18th century formal design. Country park opens daily from dawn to dusk.

Chirk Castle

A magnificent Marcher fortress completed in 1310 and now a stately home of grand style with elegant state rooms and elaborate plasterwork, superb Adam style furniture, tapestries and portraits. The castle has six acres of gardens, with roses, flowering shrubs, Rhododendrons, Azaleas, rockery and Yew topiary. The castle and gardens are set in 500 acres of 18th century parkland with three concessionaire walks across the park. The elaborate entrance gates were made by the Davies Brothers, renowned blacksmiths of Bersham.

Wrexham Water World

Wrexham Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre is the leading Aquatic and Activity Centre in the town. You can’t really miss it if you drive around the town centre; its futuristic parabolic roof is one of the landmarks of Wrexham.

Alyn Waters Country Park

The largest country park in the Wrexham area, Alyn Waters is situated in the beautiful Alyn Valley. Woodland, grassland and riverside walks are all clearly marked and there is a visitor centre that includes a cafe, shop and exhibitions on the history and wildlife of the park. There is an exciting programme of events and activities, for children and adults.

Chester Zoo
